Is there a minimum contract length for using Canopy?

Are there any additional costs associated with data storage or data transfer on Canopy?
No. Canopy’s license pricing takes into account your fleet size, device type(s), and all associated data processing costs. If needed, our team will work with you to understand your solution architecture to provide exact pricing. But with over 1 million devices on our platform across diverse use cases and industries, we will already have a strong sense for your unit costs.
Are there any costs associated with integrating Canopy with other tools or platforms?
Custom integrations with third party applications may require professional services if the integration requires custom development effort on the part of Canopy. Our Customer Success team works with customers to leverage our Agent and Enterprise APIs to streamline integrations and keep costs low. However, if additional support is needed, our implementation team can assist.
Are there any discounts available?
Yes. Canopy offers a 10% discount for select plans when customers are billed annually instead of monthly. Canopy also offers volume discounts when customers purchase larger Device Packs for additional devices.
Are there any hidden fees or charges I should be aware of?
No. Canopy strives to offer transparent pricing and honest expectations on implementation timelines. Are training and onboarding included in the Canopy pricing, or are they charged separately?
Training and onboarding are included with all Canopy plans, except for Starter Basic. The level of on-going support is dependent on which plan you select, but additional guided onboarding hours or Product Training Bootcamp hours can be purchased separately as needed for customers on Starter Plus or higher plans.
Can Canopy adapt to specific device communication requirements?
Leaf supports four methods for writing Leaf Plugins and other local processes to communicate with a device: File System, HTTP, Message Queue, and MQTT.

Can I define specific conditions for self-healing actions?
Canopy is natively aware of the state of the device that has triggered the automation to run, therefore building conditional logic based on that state is simple and straightforward. The resulting actions can also take cues from the device state to make informed decisions on the correct path to take.
Can I export charts and reports into different formats?
Yes, you can export to Excel, CSV, and PDF.
Can I purchase features or modules separately that are not included in my Canopy plan?
Canopy does not allow customers to purchase platform features or capabilities ad-hoc. Our plans are designed to offer the right level of support based on solution complexity, deployment size, and remote management needs. However, net-new enterprise integrations or additional Module customizations are available for customers on the Advanced and Premier Plans at additional costs. Custom specifications are not available for any Starter Plans.
Does Canopy allow for sending commands to multiple devices at once?
Yes, Canopy supports sending an action to a single device, all devices, or a filtered set of devices.
Does Canopy charge implementation fees?
Our Starter Basic and Starter Plus Plans will not typically require onboarding fees due to the simplicity of the solution. However, for more complex enterprise customers (i.e., customers on the Advanced or Premier Plans), Canopy may charge implementation fees associated with the amount of setup configuration. These one-time fees cover the cost of solution architecture advisory and implementation resources staffed to your onboarding. Our costs are openly discussed as part of the solution discovery process and as our team better understands the work required to properly onboard your devices. Does Canopy handle credit card (PCI) related data?
Canopy only collects telemetry data from devices, and therefore does not touch any credit card data. Additionally, Canopy is both SOC Type II and GDPR compliant and works with partners to ensure effective audits when needed.
Does Canopy have a way of accessing a device through a remote desktop?
Canopy supports remote desktop through our Splashtop integration on Windows devices or via secure SSH on Linux devices (via a reverse-tunnel architecture). Customers can also bring their own license for other remote desktop tools and easily integrate/launch those tools from the Canopy portal.

How does Canopy's pricing work for additional devices?
Every Canopy plan includes a set number of devices with the license price, and you may purchase additional Device Packs whenever you need to add more devices into Canopy. Device Packs are sold in quantities of 250, 500, and 1,000. Pricing varies based on which plan you choose. Larger Device Packs are available for purchase within our Premier Plan.
How does an automated workflow get kicked off?
Canopy workflows can be triggered from the events generated by your devices or through changes to your KPI metrics. Workflows can perform simple or complex tasks by automating processes that meet the needs of your business.
How is Canopy installed?
Canopy is a SaaS offering and requires no installation for the enterprise component. To facilitate connectivity with remote devices, our software agent, Leaf, is installed on hardware and, in turn Leaf connects to Canopy in the cloud

However, depending on the size and complexity of your device fleet, our Premier or Starter plans may be better suited to meet your needs.
